Supervised Home Visitation Center

The Family Connections Supervised Visitation Center provides a variety of primary services to area child protection offices and local children and family service providers.  The primary service is that of a visitation center where families who have been separated, have the opportunity to visit one another in a simulated home environment. The facility houses a living room, kitchen with fully functioning appliances, bathroom and age appropriate “family rooms”.

This facility enhances the family visit due to the fact that the environment is warm, welcoming and very much like home. This setting allows the family to comfortably sit, talk and visit with one another. The families also have the opportunity to cook and eat a meal together. Within this environment a Family Connections staff member is always close by, monitoring and evaluating the appropriateness of the interactions between the parents and children. Family Connections staff provides feedback as to the appropriateness of each visit to the CPS social worker or community agency staff.

Coming Soon:  Small Group Training Programs

Beginning in 2010, we will begin offering several small group training programs such as:

• Girl Power - a group to celebrate and foster being a girl begins in February.  Registration is due by Wednesday, January 27^th.

• Dads of Destiny^TM  - a Fathers Skill Development Program.  Registration is due by Friday, February 19^th.

• Parenting Group

• Spring Break Training
