Supervised Home Visitation Center

The Family Connections Supervised Visitation Center will provide one primary service to area child protection offices and local children and family service providers.  This service will be that of a visitation center where families with children age four and above who have been separated, will have the opportunity to visit one another in a simulated home environment. The facility houses a living room, kitchen with fully functioning appliances, bathroom and age appropriate “family rooms”.

This facility enhances the family visit due to the fact that the environment is warm, welcoming and very much like home. This setting will allow the family to comfortably sit, talk and visit with one another. The families will also have the opportunity to cook and eat a meal together. Within this environment a Family Connections staff member will always be close by, monitoring and evaluating the appropriateness of the interactions between the parents and children. Family Connections staff will provide feedback as to the appropriateness of each visit to the CPS social worker or community agency staff.
